Is there an official SERU mock test?
Not a full one. The nearest thing is the knowledge check at the end of each section of TfL’s online assessment guide. The guide also has a section on what to expect, with screenshots from the assessment centre.
TfL doesn’t publish its question bank or past papers. It has said it reviews the questions and changes any that confuse a large number of drivers. Mock tests sold by other companies are their own work, not TfL’s.

A study path for the SERU assessment
Take the handbook one section at a time:
- Read the section in the handbook, checking any glossary words you don’t know.
- Watch TfL’s video guide for that section.
- Do the knowledge check for the section in TfL’s online assessment guide.
- Listen to the audio version of the handbook to go over it again.
- Before the day, finish TfL’s Safeguarding Awareness course and read the guide’s “what to expect” section.
The Safeguarding Awareness course has 29 slides and works on a computer, tablet or phone. There’s no certificate, and you don’t need to tell TfL you’ve done it.
Practice for the other two TfL tests
The English speaking and listening test and the map test each have their own practice material, and their own page here.
