What’s in the step-by-step guide
- Choosing the right test type and admissions cycle
- Booking, ID verification and distribution deadlines
- Accommodations, rescheduling and fee assistance
- System requirements and the required System Check
- Test-day rules, what’s allowed and the two optional breaks
- How scoring works and when you get your quartile
The official practice test
Log in at my.acuityinsights.app, go to the Casper section and choose “Start practice test”. It runs the full Casper format and timing, with both video and typed answers, and matches your test type. You can take it as many times as you like. Your answers aren’t saved or scored, and you don’t get feedback.
Acuity says it’s meant to show the format, not the exact content or difficulty of your real test. If you have approved extra time, your approval letter links to a practice test with your timing.
Two shorter PDFs worth reading
- 10 Important Things to Know Before Taking Casper: test types, the once-per-cycle rule, accommodations, confidentiality and test-day rules.
- Myth vs. Fact: covers how scoring works and why memorized key phrases don’t help.
What about prep books and question PDFs?
Prep companies sell books and PDFs of sample questions and answers. They can help you get used to the style, but they aren’t official, and Casper has no answer key. Raters look at your reasoning, not at matching a model answer or using key phrases. Acuity’s own advice is to use the free practice test, practise typing if you’re slow, and record yourself on camera to get comfortable.
