FP Canada practice exam questions

Here are 20 free practice questions in the style of the multiple-choice items on the FP Canada exams. They’re original, written on settled Canadian planning topics like RRSPs, TFSAs, FHSAs, RESPs, CPP and OAS, insurance, tax and estates. We use 70% as a practice target, so 14 right is a pass. That’s our bar, not FP Canada’s, which uses a passing standard of 500. The real CFP exam is mostly written answers to client cases, which we can’t mark here. After each answer you can ask the tutor to explain it another way.
