Manitoba Class 5 knowledge test practice

This is free Manitoba Class 5 knowledge test practice: 20 questions written from MPI’s Driver’s Handbook, seven of them with a sign or signal. MPI doesn’t publish the real test’s length or pass mark, so we use our own bar here: 16 of 20, which is 80%. Pick an answer to see why it’s right, and anything you miss comes back at the end.

Question 1 of 20

In Manitoba’s GDL program, what is the shortest time you can spend in the learner stage (5L)?

20 practice questions in the style of the knowledge test.

Is this Manitoba Class 5 knowledge test practice like the real test?

The real test covers traffic laws, safe driving and road signs, on a computer, with a 30-minute limit. These questions cover the same ground. They’re ours, written from the handbook, not MPI’s, so treat a good score as a sign you’re on track rather than a promise.

Most come from the handbook’s chapters on signs and signals, turns, driving responsibly and sharing the road. Four cover the GDL rules for learners, intermediate and full-stage drivers.

Then try MPI’s own driving quizzes

MPI has free multiple-choice quizzes for each class of licence. MPI says they check the main ideas, and the wording may differ from what you study. They make a good second check after these 20. The where-to-learn page shows how to use them alongside the handbook.
