NCA exam schedule and registration dates for 2027

The National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) runs 12 exam sessions a year, about one a month, but not every subject is offered in every session. Its 2027 schedule was issued on September 18, 2026. Each session has a fixed registration window, and registration for the January 2027 session is set for November 16 to December 10, 2026. The NCA schedule can change, and any new version goes on its website.

Subjects with several days in a session, such as Canadian Constitutional Law, alternate between morning and afternoon days, so pick the date that suits the start time you want.

Start times and changing them

  • Morning exams start between 7:00 and 10:00 a.m., midday exams between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and afternoon exams between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., all Eastern time.
  • You choose a date when you register, and the NCA tries to give you a start time in the block you ask for.
  • Your start time appears in the NCA Portal under Exam History about two weeks before the session starts. If it isn’t there a week before, email exam@flsc.ca.
  • To change your date or start time within the same session, use the MonitorEDU form linked in the schedule. Changes depend on availability and stay inside the set time blocks.

Cancelling, deferring and missed exams

  • Cancel in the NCA Portal before midnight Eastern time the day before your exam. A refund goes back to the card you paid with, less an administrative fee.
  • The NCA doesn’t defer exams. To write in a later session, you cancel and register again once that session opens.
  • If you don’t cancel in time and don’t show up, you lose the whole exam fee. It doesn’t count as an attempt.
  • There are no make-up exams or special sessions. If you miss one for any reason, register for the subject in another session.
  • With a foreign credit card, you pay any transaction fees and exchange rate differences.
