How does the NCA login work?
The portal opens to you once you’ve applied for an assessment and paid. The sign-in page asks for your NCA account number, not your email address, plus your password, and it has a “Forgot my password” link. The NCA website’s “My NCA File” and “Check my NCA file status” links lead to the same sign-in.
The portal sits on the Federation of Law Societies of Canada’s website, at ncaportal.flsc.ca.
What you do in the NCA Portal
- See which of your documents and transcripts the NCA has received.
- Register and pay for exams under My Course Info, then Purchase Exams.
- Cancel an exam for a refund under Exam History, with a separate request for each exam.
- Find your exam start time under Exam History.
- Read your results, and download the examiner’s memo if you fail.
- Appeal an assessment under My Assessment, or an exam result with the Appeal button in Exam History.
- Request your Certificate of Qualification under Manage Yourself, then Request Certificate.
- Get income tax receipts for exam fees, which the NCA posted for 2025 in February 2026.
If NCA emails aren’t reaching you
The NCA says its emails may be going to your spam folder. Set your email to always deliver messages from flsc.ca to your inbox. In Gmail, that’s a filter from flsc.ca with “Never send it to Spam” ticked. If you don’t get your exam confirmation by one week before the exam, email exam@flsc.ca.
