Question 1 of 20

You’re 15 and hold an instruction permit. Who may supervise you when you drive?

20 practice questions we wrote from the Driver License Manual.

Does DPS have a practice test of its own?

No. Its testing page says there is no sample test and sends you to the driving manuals to study. The manual itself ends with a short Test Your Knowledge section, which the manual page describes.

How close is this South Dakota driver’s license practice test to the real one?

The questions are ours, so the wording on test day will be different. They follow the manual’s chapters, from permits and licenses to sharing the road, and lean toward the rules of the road rather than paperwork.
