Free: TOEFL iBT Practice Test 1 (PDF)

ETS says this practice test matches TOEFL iBT tests from January 21, 2026. It isn’t an exact copy of the real test, because the directions and questions are adapted for paper. It’s good for seeing every task type before test day.

The Official Guide to the TOEFL iBT Test, Eighth Edition

This is ETS’s own book, published by McGraw Hill on September 8, 2026, for $40 in print. McGraw Hill says it reflects the revised test. It has 2 full-length practice tests, practice sets for each section, strategies, answer keys and self-scoring guides. Audio for Listening and Speaking is a download, with a code in the book.

The Seventh Edition and earlier cover the test before January 2026, with longer sections and 0-120 scoring. Don’t buy a used copy by mistake.

The test blueprint

ETS’s 2026 Test Blueprint and Specifications is a free PDF. It’s written for teachers and schools, but it lists every task type with its number of items, the CEFR levels it covers, and how each one is scored. Writing and Speaking are scored by AI. Reading and Listening are scored by machine.
