The 100 questions for the citizenship test (2008 version)

They belong to the 2008 civics test. The 100 questions for the citizenship test apply only if you filed Form N-400 before October 20, 2025. The officer asks up to 10 of them and you need 6 right. If you filed on or after that date, you study the newer list of 128 instead.

Who still needs the 100 questions for the citizenship test?

Anyone who filed before October 20, 2025, including for a retest on that application. If you qualify for 65/20, you study only the 20 starred questions from the 2008 list, which USCIS also publishes as a separate PDF.

Filed on or after October 20, 2025? The two lists differ in numbering and in many answers, so don’t mix them.
