How much does the USMLE cost?

As of October 2026, Step 1 costs $695, Step 2 CK costs $695 and Step 3 costs $955. The same fees apply for 2027 eligibility periods. If you take Step 1 or Step 2 CK outside the U.S. and Canada, there’s an extra region fee. Fees aren’t refunded, so plan your dates carefully.
