PEBC pharmacy technician exam results

Results for the September 2026 sitting come out on November 12, 2026, and the April 2027 ones on May 19, 2027. PEBC posts pharmacy technician exam results on its website within ten weeks of each exam, as a list of the ID numbers of people who passed. Your own letter arrives by email within a week of the list. You get pass or fail, never a score.

When do PEBC pharmacy technician exam results come out?

PEBC doesn't give results by phone. Your provincial regulator gets the list of successful candidates at the same time as you get your email.

Why there is no score

PEBC's Board doesn't release scores, pass marks or which questions you got wrong. For Part I, a panel uses the Modified Angoff method: experts estimate how a borderline, minimally competent candidate would do on each question and set the cut score from that. For the OSPE, a panel rates what a borderline candidate would score at each station. There's no set pass rate; you're measured against the standard, not other candidates.

If you did not pass

  • Rescoring: one final hand-scoring, for $100 (Part I) or $200 (Part II). Mail a signed letter with your PEBC ID, the exam name and the words "I wish to have my exam rescored" so it arrives within 75 days of the results release. It checks data entry and adding up, not how you performed.
  • Feedback: PEBC emails a general report by competency area no earlier than 8 weeks after results. Contact PEBC if it hasn't come within 9 weeks.
  • Appeals: you can't appeal the content, the standard or how the exam was assessed.

If you passed one part, you have 3 years to pass the other, or you have to retake the part you'd passed.

After you pass both parts

Your name goes on the PEBC Register and you get a Certificate of Qualification, in English or French. Until it arrives, your results letter confirms your registration, and PEBC notes certificates have been delayed. Your next step is registering with your provincial regulator.
