How do you send a national dental board score report?
Name up to three licensing jurisdictions when you apply and your exam fee covers them. For anyone else, sign in, open the Requests tab and order a results report, for a fee per report. The American Dental Association’s Department of Testing Services then sends your history of results to the dental board or other recipient.
If you’re at an accredited program or graduated in the last five years, signing your application lets the JCNDE share results with your dean and their designees.
Old NBDE score requests
Old scores go through the same account. When the JCNDE reports INBDE results, it includes every attempt at the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) Part I, Part II and the INBDE. Numerical scores are reported for attempts made before 2012. If you don’t remember getting a DENTPIN, you may have one anyway: the American Dental Association says anyone who has taken a dental exam or holds a US dentist or hygienist license already does.
Asking for a results audit
Results are audited before release, but you can pay for a second check. Sign in and follow the audit request steps within 30 days of the reporting date on your official report. It won’t let you cancel a result: the JCNDE says scores can’t be voided at your request once you’ve completed any part of the exam.
Your National Board certificate
Once you’ve passed, you can buy an 8.5 by 11 inch certificate, with an optional frame, by signing in with your DENTPIN. The guide doesn’t print a price, so you’ll see it at sign-in.
