Where the real test happens
It’s a computer-based test, but it’s run at a test site that Home Affairs controls, not at home. Staff check your photo ID and take a photo of you to confirm who you are. You can’t use notes or a phone, and you can only talk to the test staff.
The official practice test
Home Affairs runs a free practice test online. It has 20 questions and a 45-minute limit, just like the real one, and it uses the same pass rule. The questions are samples, though. You’ll see different ones on the day.
AMEP online citizenship modules
AMEPOnline has four citizenship modules, one for each testable part of Our Common Bond. They also help with the English you need for the test. You can use them on a computer or phone, even if you’re not enrolled in AMEP classes.
Booking online? Not quite
You apply for citizenship online, through ImmiAccount. But there’s no online booking for the test itself. Home Affairs gives you a date, and your letter explains how to change it if you need to.
