Prices have gone up before
Paragon set the Canadian fee for CELPIP-General at CAD 290 plus tax from October 1, 2024, and the overview page now shows CAD 299. Some older pages and third-party sites still list lower prices. The amount on your booking screen is what you’ll pay.
Changing your date
You can transfer to another date in your CELPIP Account, but only at least 7 days before your test. Paragon’s pages don’t agree on the cost: one says the transfer is free, while the Canada FAQ lists CAD 50 plus tax. Your account shows the fee before you confirm.
Less than 7 days before, you can’t transfer or get money back. Plan your date carefully.
Don’t pay for the wrong version
Applying for citizenship only? CELPIP-General LS costs CAD 100 less and tests just the two skills IRCC checks. For permanent residence, though, you need the full CELPIP-General. An LS result won’t work for Express Entry.
Practice can be free
The official free sample test on celpip.ca costs nothing. Paragon also sells practice tests and study materials, and many apps have free levels. You don’t have to buy anything to sit the test.
