PEBC exam dates and deadlines for 2027

The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) lists four pharmacist sittings in 2027: February, May, July and November. Part I, the multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam, runs over 10 to 14 days in each one. Part II, the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), is a single day, and there’s no OSCE in July. These PEBC exam dates come with a fixed application deadline, at noon Eastern Time, and PEBC doesn’t accept late applications.

Each deadline is at 12 pm (noon) Eastern Time. PEBC lists results dates and OSCE centres for these three sittings as “To be confirmed”.

The February 2027 sitting runs Part I on February 10‑12, 16‑20 and 22‑25 and the OSCE on Sunday, February 21. PEBC set its application deadline at noon Eastern Time on November 19, 2026.

Where the OSCE is held

PEBC names the OSCE centres sitting by sitting. For February 2027 they are:

  • Alberta: Calgary and Edmonton
  • British Columbia: Vancouver
  • Nova Scotia: Halifax
  • Ontario: Hamilton, Kingston, London, Ottawa and Toronto

Montreal, where PEBC offers the OSCE in French, isn’t on the February 2027 list. It was on the November 2026 list, along with Kitchener-Waterloo. Part I is at Prometric test centres or by remote proctoring, and those options are on the MCQ page.

How to apply for a PEBC exam

  1. Get approved first: ID and Education Verification if you graduated in Canada, Document Evaluation if you graduated anywhere else. PEBC adds the exam applications to your Candidate Portal once you qualify.
  2. Complete a separate online application for each part. No paper documents are needed.
  3. Choose your exam language. You must write in the one you pick.
  4. For Part I, pick test sites. PEBC uses them to plan capacity, and you book the real seat with Prometric later.
  5. For Part II, pick your OSCE sites. How PEBC assigns them is on the OSCE page.
  6. Say whether you’ll ask for exam accommodations. PEBC needs the request and all documents by the application deadline.
  7. Pay the fee by Visa or Mastercard credit card before noon Eastern Time on the deadline. Unpaid applications are deleted at the deadline.

Apply even if your eligibility is waiting on a transcript, proof of graduation or remediation. PEBC won’t process an application that arrives after the deadline. If you need a visa to come to Canada for the exam, PEBC strongly suggests applying for it before the deadline.

Earlier deadlines for Canadian graduates

If you’re graduating from a Canadian program, there’s a second, earlier deadline: PEBC must receive your ID and Education Verification application and documents in time for you to apply when the exam applications open. For the May 2027 sitting, that date was September 18, 2026. PEBC posts each one on its dates page.

When PEBC contacts you before the exam

  • Part I: an invitation to schedule with Prometric arrives at least two weeks before the exam. Invitations go out first come, first served, by the date PEBC received your application.
  • Part II: your PEBC Admission Card is added to your Digital Wallet at least three weeks before the exam, with the exact time and place.

You can’t postpone a PEBC exam. You withdraw and apply again for a later sitting, and the refund depends on when you withdraw.
