Where are the Part 107 testing centers?
Use PSI’s own search. PSI says it adjusts its network to demand, opening new sites and extending testing hours, so a list of centers on another site can go out of date. The FAA’s Become a Drone Pilot page links PSI’s FAA site as the place to find an FAA-approved knowledge testing center, and the same site is where you book the Unmanned Aircraft General-Small (UAG) test.
No Part 107 test center near me: what to do
PSI says that if your search shows no test center or no open times, the scheduling system offers you a way to request a seat or a test center in your area. PSI monitors those requests and responds based on availability and regional demand, so try a wider range of dates as well.
What happens at the testing center
Test day itself, from the ID check to the practice screen, is on the overview page. Here’s what you may take into the room. The ACS lists the aids you may use, as long as they don’t contain test questions or answers:
- Allowed: scales, straightedges, protractors, plotters, navigation computers and blank log sheets
- Allowed: aviation calculators, and small calculators that do only arithmetic or have a simple memory you can clear in front of the proctor
- Not allowed: your own written or printed notes, dictionaries, or manuals on how to use your test aids
The proctor makes the final decision on any aid, and the center may hand you a calculator or refuse yours.
