Taking the GED in Spanish

Yes, in many states. All four subjects are offered in Spanish, with the same passing score and the same credential as the English test. Some states also let you take the GED online in Spanish. You pick the language when you register, and as of October 2026 the price doesn't change with the language. GED.com has a Spanish version at GED.com/es.

Can you take the GED online in Spanish?

In some states. GED Testing Service says the online Spanish option is offered in select states and that online availability varies a lot. The simplest check is your GED.com account: when you schedule, the "Select exam language" step shows what your state offers.

How the Spanish test compares

Some states let you mix languages, for example passing Math in Spanish and Science in English. Washington's page says you may combine the two. GED Testing Service leaves that choice to each state, so check yours.

  • Same four subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies
  • Same score scale and the same 145 to pass
  • A direct translation of the English test, except that the Language Arts grammar editing questions aren't included
  • Same price, set per subject by your state

Free practice in Spanish

The free GED test previews come in English and Spanish, and GED Ready, the official paid practice test, is available in Spanish too. GED.com/es lists Spanish-language classes and adult education programs. GED Live, the official online classes, are in English only.
