Start with the free AAMC materials: the sample test, Practice Exam 1 and the content outline. They come from the people who write the real exam. The AAMC’s paid practice is $336.15 for the full bundle, or free with Fee Assistance. Below are the outside courses, question banks and videos we compared, with prices and what’s free as of October 2026.
Start here. Both run in the same interface as the real MCAT, so you can practice the highlighting and strikethrough tools. Practice Exam 1 uses questions from past MCAT exams and gives you a scaled score and percentile. The Sample Test is unscored, but it has video walk-throughs for four CARS passage sets.

The content outline lists every concept and skill the MCAT can test, so use it as your checklist. The online version links each topic to open textbooks and Khan Academy lessons, and adds 120 questions from the retired Official Guide.

Approval also waives AMCAS application fees for one cycle. Apply and get approved before you register, because benefits aren’t applied retroactively.
