Pesticide applicator license lookup by state

Each state keeps its own records, so a pesticide applicator license lookup starts with the agency in the state where the person works. Thirteen of the 19 state agencies in this guide publish an applicator search; others post lists or business searches instead.

States with lists or business searches

  • Texas: the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) posts a downloadable list of agricultural pesticide applicators currently licensed on its publications page.
  • Virginia: the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) posts reports of certified private and commercial applicators on its pesticides page.
  • Pennsylvania: the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) links a search for licensed pesticide application businesses, and Penn State lets you look up recertification credits.

Checking credits and exam scores

Several states let you check your own record. Oregon has searches for credit hours and exam scores, Florida for exam scores and earned continuing education units (CEUs), Oklahoma for CEU status, Iowa for exam results, and Washington’s search shows recertification credit reports. Texas runs a CEU course search.
