What you do in the ADC portal
- Create your account and upload your identification documents
- Apply for an initial assessment or a skills assessment, and upload more documents if the ADC asks
- See your application status, your candidate reference number and your initial assessment expiry date
- Renew your initial assessment before it expires
- Apply for the written and practical exams when the application period opens
- Choose your preferred practical exam session
- Read your results, and your outcome letters in the Documents section
- Download your ADC certificate after you pass the practical exam
- Withdraw from an exam, ask for reasonable adjustments, or apply for a review or appeal
How do you set up your ADC Connect login?
- Create an account on connect.adc.org.au. The ADC says new candidates need a new account to start.
- Upload your passport and photo so they can be verified; you need them verified before you can apply for the written exam.
- Choose your registration type, the Dental Board division you want, and your application type.
- Complete the initial assessment, upload your documents and pay. You get a candidate reference number when the ADC starts assessing it.
An application you start stays open for 12 months; after that you have to start a new one. Keep your email and contact details current in ADC Connect, because the ADC sends timetables and urgent news by email.
ADC Connect how-to videos
The ADC has six short videos on using the portal:
- Creating an ADC Connect account
- How to upload your identification documents
- Completing an initial assessment
- Applying for a written examination
- Applying for a practical examination
- How to book a practical examination
Who to contact about ADC Connect
The ADC uses a separate email address for each stage:
- Initial assessments and skills assessments: assessment.connect@adc.org.au
- The written exam: written.connect@adc.org.au
- The practical exam: practical.connect@adc.org.au
If you can’t log in to Pearson VUE to book a written exam venue, contact Pearson VUE, not the ADC. Emails from the ADC always come from an address ending in @adc.org.au, and the ADC says it will never ask for passwords or financial details by email or phone. The office address and phone number are on the ADC Melbourne page.
