How do you pass the G1 test in Ontario?

  1. Read the handbook chapters on getting your licence, safe driving, signs and lights, and keeping your licence. Ontario.ca tells you to study the handbook before the test.
  2. Learn signs by shape and colour first, then the exceptions.
  3. Learn the rules that come with a number: speed limits, following distance, school bus distance and demerit points.
  4. Try the handbook’s eight official sample questions, then our 20, and reread the section behind every miss.
  5. The day before, put two pieces of original ID, money for the fee and your glasses, if you drive with them, by the door.
