A social worker is meeting a client for the first time. What should the social worker explain about confidentiality early in their work together?
20 practice questions in the style of the exam.
How to use these 20 questions
Questions 1 to 7 are values and ethics, 8 to 14 assessment and planning, and 15 to 20 intervention and practice. The three content areas are the same on every exam category, so the questions suit Masters and Clinical candidates alike, and Bachelors candidates will know most of the ground. Each has four options. Real ASWB questions have three or four.
Aim for 15 right, which is 75%. That’s our own target, not ASWB’s: ASWB sets the pass mark for each exam form by how hard it is, and says it generally falls between 66 and 78 of the 110 scored questions. If an answer doesn’t click, ask the tutor to explain it another way.
Where can you find more ASWB practice questions?
ASWB’s Examination Guidebook has sample questions for every category, each with the answer and an explanation. ASWB also sells a full-length online practice test for US$85 to registered candidates, built from retired exam questions. Our 20 don’t come from ASWB, so treat them as practice on the content, not a preview of real items.
