At a test center, CBEST Reading and Math give you a preliminary result before you leave. Writing gives you only a receipt of completion. Online, you get neither.
What your CSET results report shows
For each subtest, your report shows whether you passed. If you didn’t pass, it also shows your scaled score, and the back of the report shows how you did in each section, so you can see where to focus. It also lists every subtest you’ve passed so far.
Results stay in your account for 2 years. After that, you can ask for a reprint. They’re emailed to you only if you chose that when you registered.
If you passed the CBEST, you also get a Permanent Verification Card. Extra copies cost a fee; use the Test Results Request Form on the CTC exams site.
If your result is late or looks wrong
- Results can be held back for a new or redeveloped test, or for a registration or payment problem.
- If yours hasn’t appeared two weeks after the release date, call Evaluation Systems. Results are never given out by phone, in person or by fax.
- You can ask for a score verification within 90 days of your test date, for $50 per subtest or section. It only covers written answers, and only if you didn’t pass.
- If the verification changes your score, you get a corrected result and the $50 back. If it doesn’t, the fee isn’t refunded.
