Put in your test date and the planner spreads 34 short lessons over the days you have. Six of its seven chapters are CBEST: two on reading, three on math and one on the two essays. The seventh covers the three CSET: Multiple Subjects subtests and their written answers. For a single subject CSET, add Pearson’s test guide for your subject alongside it.
Pick the date of your test and how long you can study each day. You’ll get a plan that takes you right up to the test.
How do you prepare for the CSET?
- Check you need the test at all.
- Download the test structure for your CSET from the CTC exams site. It lists every domain and how many questions each one has.
- Take Pearson’s free practice test, timed. For the CBEST there’s one per section; for CSET: Multiple Subjects, one per subtest.
- Spend most of your time on the domains you scored lowest in. On the CSET, practice the written answers too, since they’re 30% of most subtests.
- Book a date that leaves time for a retake. You have to wait 45 days between attempts.
