Delaware permit practice test

This Delaware permit practice test has 20 free questions written from the Delaware Driver Manual, the book the knowledge test comes from. The DMV’s sample test page says the real test has 32 questions and you need 26 right. Here we use our own bar: 17 of 20, the lowest score that’s at or above it. Five questions show a sign. Pick an answer to see why it’s right, and anything you miss comes back at the end.

Question 1 of 20

In the first six months on a Level One Learner’s Permit, who may supervise you if not a parent or guardian?

20 practice questions in the style of the knowledge test.

How close is this Delaware permit practice test to the real one?

The bar is close, about 81% there and 85% here, but the real test is longer and has two parts: signs and signals, then the rules of the road. These questions are ours, written from the manual, not the DMV’s.

Delaware law also puts at least two questions on traffic stops by law enforcement on the real test. These 20 don’t cover them, so read that part of Section Five before you go.

Then try the DMV’s own samples

The DMV’s online Sample Driving Exam has general knowledge tests in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole and a traffic sign test, and its sample written test page has 10 questions with the answers. Do both after these 20. The where-to-learn page shows how to use them and compares apps and websites.
