Mississippi state practice test

This Mississippi state practice test has 20 free questions written from the Mississippi Driver’s License Manual, the book the knowledge exam is based on. DPS doesn’t publish the real exam’s length or pass mark, so 16 of 20 (80%) is our own target, not an official one. Six questions show a sign or signal. Pick an answer to see why it’s right, and anything you miss comes back at the end.

Question 1 of 20

You get a regular learner’s permit at 15. How long is it valid?

20 practice questions in the style of the permit test.

How close is this Mississippi state practice test to the real exam?

Closer in content than in format. State law says the exam has at least 10 questions on safe driving and checks that you can read road signs and know school bus safety, so signs and school buses get extra space here. DPS doesn’t give the real length or pass mark, and these questions are ours, not DPS’s.

They cover each part of the manual: the permit rules, signs and signals, right-of-way, speed and passing, school buses and railroads, parking, night and rain, and alcohol.

What to do after these 20

DPS has no practice test or study app of its own, so the manual is the next step. Look up every rule you missed, then reread the signs pages and the school bus and railroad sections. The where-to-learn page has a study plan and compares apps and driver’s ed.
