Free NAPLEX practice exam questions

Here are 20 free questions we wrote on medicines, dosing, calculations and federal pharmacy law, each with four options and an explanation. They aren’t from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), which writes the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX), and this isn’t a full NAPLEX practice exam. Use it as a quick check of what you know before you study further.

Question 1 of 20

A patient has been stable on warfarin, with an international normalized ratio (INR) in range. Which antibiotic, if added, is most likely to push the INR up?

20 practice questions we wrote ourselves, on pharmacy topics.

How to use these 20 questions

Our 75% target isn’t an NABP pass mark: NABP reports NAPLEX and law exam results only as pass or fail. If an answer doesn’t make sense, ask the tutor to explain it another way, and the ones you miss come back at the end.

The law questions cover federal rules only, such as controlled substance forms and refill limits. A state’s Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE) also tests that state’s own laws.

Where can you get an official NAPLEX practice exam?

From NABP. Its Pre-NAPLEX is built from retired NAPLEX questions, and NABP also offers practice exams for the MPJE and for the Uniform MPJE (UMPJE). The study options page has their rules and prices, along with NABP’s sample items.
