A 28-year-old man twisted his knee playing soccer. On exam, a positive McMurray test is found. Which injury does this finding suggest?
20 practice questions in the style of the exam.
How to use these 20 questions
Questions 1 to 6 are health assessment and 7 to 11 diagnosis. Questions 12 to 15 are treatment, 16 to 18 clinical care, and 19 and 20 professional practice. Each has four options and one best answer.
Aim for 15 right, which is 75%. That’s our own target, not a board’s. AANPCB sets its passing score by standard setting and doesn’t report it as a percentage, and ANCC’s pass is a scaled score of 350 out of 500. If an answer doesn’t click, ask the tutor to explain it another way.
Where can you find more FNP practice questions?
Both boards sell timed practice tests written for their own exams, and ANCC posts a free set of FNP sample questions. Review companies sell larger question banks. Our 20 don’t come from either board, so treat them as practice on the content, not a preview of real items.
