Alberta learner’s practice test

This free Alberta learner’s practice test has 20 Class 7 questions written from the 2026 Driver’s Guide, five of them on road signs. The real test has 30 and you need 25 right, so here you need 17 out of 20, the same 83% bar. Answer one and you’ll see why it’s right, and anything you miss comes back at the end.

Question 1 of 20

What is the youngest age you can apply for a Class 7 learner’s licence in Alberta?

Sample of the knowledge test: same format, 20 questions.

How close is this Alberta learner’s practice test to the real one?

The style is the same: four answer choices, one right answer, and rules of the road, safe driving and signs all mixed together. The real test is longer, with 30 questions, and you can only take it once a day, so it’s worth getting your mistakes out of the way here first.

If you get 17 or more right a few times in a row, that’s a good sign you’re ready. If the same topic keeps tripping you up, go back to that chapter of the Driver’s Guide before you head to the registry agent.
