TEF exam centres near you: TEF and TCF Canada centres

Approved centres run both tests, and each sets its own dates, seats and rules. To find a TEF exam centre near you, use CCI Paris Île-de-France’s centre finder: search by city, choose TEF Canada and a date, and it lists centres with upcoming sessions. For TCF Canada, centres approved by France Éducation international register you on their own sites. The centres listed here offered one or both tests on their websites in October 2026.

  2. Enter a city or country and choose TEF Canada in the test list.
  3. Add the date you’d like, then search to see centres and their next sessions.
  4. Contact the centre, or click to pre-register.

Centre rules that differ

  • ID: Alliance Française de Vancouver accepts only a passport. Alliance Française de Calgary wants two photo IDs. Alliance Française d’Ottawa needs a passport for the permanent residence version. McGill needs a passport to register.
  • Who can register: Alliance Française d’Ottawa takes only residents of Canada, and Memorial University only Newfoundland and Labrador residents.
  • Seats and registration: Alliance Française de Calgary has 14 seats per session. Centre Yves-Thériault registers in person only, on set afternoons, with 50 places, and asks for your passport and immigration documents.
  • The day: plan for most of it. The Université de Sherbrooke says to arrive at 8:30 a.m. and keep the full day free, and Alliance Française de Vancouver runs exams between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Late arrivals aren’t let in once the test starts, at every centre that mentions it.
