PTE test centres in Australia

Pearson’s centre search shows the PTE exam centres near you, with the next free seats and the local price, once you choose PTE Academic, UKVI, Core or Home. In Australia, Pearson names centres in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra. Worldwide it has more than 500 centres in over 115 countries.

How do you find a PTE exam centre near you?

  1. Open Pearson’s test centres and fees page and choose your test. For an Australian visa or university, that’s PTE Academic.
  2. Select Check availability. Pearson lists your nearest centres and each one’s next available slot.
  3. Pick a centre, date and time, then create or sign in to your myPTE account to book.

Examples in Melbourne and Perth

In Melbourne, RMIT UP runs an official centre at RMIT Building 85, Level 1, 97-99 Franklin Street, between Swanston and Elizabeth streets. It lists three weekday sessions, starting at 9:00 am, 11:45 am and 2:30 pm, and a fee of AU$490 for 2026, as of October 2026. You still book through Pearson, which handles cancellations, refunds and results.

In Perth, Pearson’s December 2024 guide named three centres: Navitas English on Newcastle Street, a Pearson Professional Center on William Street and a North Perth centre on Fitzgerald Street. Centres open and close, so confirm the address in the centre search and in your booking email.

What’s the same at every centre

Every room has no more than 15 seats. You can’t take PTE Academic at home. Arrive at least 30 minutes early with your passport, because late arrivals can’t sit the test.
