How to check PTE test availability
- Choose your test on Pearson’s test centres page and select Check availability.
- Pick a centre, then look through its dates and times.
- When you find one, create or sign in to your myPTE account and pay to hold it. A date isn’t yours until you’ve paid and have the confirmation email.
How far ahead, and how late, you can book
- Up to 6 months before the test date.
- RMIT’s centre in Melbourne says you can book with it as little as 24 hours ahead, and that the confirmation email can take up to 24 hours to arrive.
- You can hold only one booking at a time, and you can’t book a retake until your last scores are out.
- Pearson’s Perth guide warns that popular dates fill up fast.
Which PTE Academic dates fit your deadline?
Count back from your deadline. Pearson aims to release results within five business days and usually does it in two, and a university can take around 48 hours to see a score you send it. If your deadline is closer than that, Pearson’s timeline doesn’t promise a result in time.
Pick a date you can keep. Moving it is free only when there are more than 14 full days to go. After that you can only cancel, for half your fee back or none.
