A customer keeps £20,000 in a savings account paying 2% a year, while prices rise by 4% a year. Which risk does this show?
20 practice questions in the style of the exam.
How to use these 20 questions
Questions 1 to 6 are CeMAP 1: risk, Bank Rate and the advice process from FRE1, then legislation, joint ownership and ethics from FRE2. Questions 7 to 14 are CeMAP 2, with four on MRT1 (loan-to-value, valuations, higher lending charges and auctions) and four on MRT2 (interest-only, trackers, offset and further advances). Questions 15 to 19 are short customer cases in the style of CeMAP 3, and question 20 is on the FCA’s competence rule for advisers.
Aim for 14 right, which is 70%. That’s the share LIBF asks for to pass each unit exam, so it’s a fair target, though our questions aren’t LIBF’s.
Where can you find more CeMAP practice questions?
LIBF includes one Practice Exam for each unit with your registration, and sells extra Practice Exams and a Revision Tool. Those come from the body that sets the real exams, so try them under timed conditions before you sit each unit.
