What AAF score bands show

ScoreTypical skills
200 to 220Write a linear equation from a table, solve simple square root equations
221 to 230Factor quadratics, use triangle formulas, slope of a parallel line
231 to 240Solve systems of linear equations, rectangle area problems
241 to 250Simplify rational expressions, square a binomial
251 to 260Parallel and perpendicular lines, simple exponential functions, quadratic graphs
261 to 270Combine functions, domain and range, trig ratios
271 to 300Absolute value functions, transformations, the unit circle, inverses, logarithms

A student in a higher band can typically also do what the lower rows list.

Calculators on AAF

Some questions offer an on-screen calculator and others have none. The calculator rules are on the math tests page. Learn to use the on-screen calculators in the Study App before test day.
