ACCUPLACER test voucher: what it is and where to get one

An ACCUPLACER test voucher comes from the school or college giving you the test, not from College Board. College Board’s advice is to contact that school directly, and it will guide you through the process. Colleges use vouchers to start your test at another test center, online with a remote proctor, or over a video call.

How do you get an ACCUPLACER test voucher?

  1. Contact the testing office of the school or college that’s giving you the test.
  2. Tell it where you want to test: on campus, at another center or remotely.
  3. Its testing staff create the voucher and send you instructions.
  4. Follow them to book with the test center or proctoring company.

What vouchers are used for

Colleges use vouchers for:

  • Testing on or off campus, including large groups at once
  • Testing at an approved center in College Board’s Remote Testing Network when you can’t get to your own campus
  • Testing from home or another private place with an approved remote proctoring company
  • Testing with a certified proctor over a video call

What happens when you use it

You sign on and activate your voucher, and the proctor then approves your test from their own screen. You never get login details for the test itself, even when testing remotely.

Your scores go straight into your college’s ACCUPLACER account.

Voucher problems and TSIA2 vouchers

If your voucher doesn’t work, contact the school that issued it. TSIA2 vouchers in Texas work the same way: they come from your school.
