Arkansas drivers test hours differ by site

There's no statewide schedule. A few examples from the troop pages, as of October 2026:

  • Troop A headquarters, Little Rock: knowledge testing 1 to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, and skills tests in the morning by appointment
  • Troop C headquarters, Jonesboro: written testing 8 to 11:30 a.m., Monday to Friday
  • Troop H headquarters, Fort Smith: knowledge testing 1 to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
  • Troop L headquarters, Lowell: knowledge testing 1 to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only
  • Troop J headquarters, Clarksville: Mondays only, with written testing 1 to 4:30 p.m. by appointment

Smaller sites often open one or two days a week, or only on certain weeks of the month. Piggott, for example, tests on the fourth Tuesday.

Closures to check before you go

Troop pages post changes as they happen. As of October 2026, Troop A says its Cabot site is closed on Wednesdays until further notice and that Conway's schedule changes on January 4, 2027. Troop K says Sheridan is closed from November 1, 2026, through about May 2027 for renovation, and Troop F lists Dermott as closed until further notice.

Motorcycle and CDL tests aren't given everywhere

Motorcycle skills tests run only at some sites, and the scheduler names several that don't offer them, including Augusta, Benton and Conway. CDL written tests are given at every troop, but ASP gives CDL skills tests only at Troops A, B, G, I, J and L.
