Here are 20 free questions on signals, railroad crossings, teen license rules, school buses, trucks and alcohol, all written from the Arkansas Driver License Study Guide. Arkansas has no DMV test as such: the State Police gives the exam and DFA issues the license, so this Arkansas DMV practice test follows the State Police's study guide. ASP doesn't publish a pass mark, so we count 16 of 20, or 80%, as a pass.

How close is an Arkansas DMV practice test to the real exam?

Close in style. ASP's 2017 oral-testing instructions for its kiosk test show three answer choices, A, B and C, and our questions use the same three-choice format. The real questions aren't published anywhere, and ASP doesn't publish a question count or a pass percentage either.

Some practice sites offer a 25-question exam or a downloadable cheat sheet. Those formats come from the sites themselves, not from ASP. Use any practice set, this one included, to find the parts of the study guide you haven't learned yet, then go back and read them.

The State Police's own practice test

ASP runs a free Official Arkansas Driver License Practice Test on its website, and its driver examination page shows App Store and Google Play badges for an app version. The study guide calls ASP's app AR Driver Testing, while NICUSA's Arkansas Driver Practice Test on the App Store has a different name, and neither ASP's page nor that listing calls it official. The study guide adds that ASP isn't associated with third-party websites that offer practice tests.

Practicing for a motorcycle or CDL test instead

These 20 questions are for the regular instruction permit. A motorcycle license has its own knowledge exam, studied from the Motorcycle Operator Manual that ASP links to, and a commercial license needs the CDL knowledge tests from ASP's CDL study guide.
