What the offices do, and what they don't

  • The office pages list exams, licenses, learner's permits, non-driver IDs, registration, tax and title, with some exceptions.
  • The branch office pages say they don't handle driving records, reinstatements, or questions about crashes, insurance, disqualifications, revocations or suspensions. They also don't do IRP or Vermont dealer registrations.
  • Dummerston, St. Albans, St. Johnsbury and White River Junction renew enhanced licenses, but don't offer other enhanced license services.
  • For payment, the Montpelier office page lists cash, checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Call 802-828-2000 to check another office.
