How does LNAT registration work?
- Set up an LNAT account on Pearson VUE’s site with your contact details. Use an email address you’ll keep, because your results are sent to it.
- Enter your UCAS personal ID, the 10 digits without hyphens. If you don’t have it yet, or aren’t applying to a UK university, enter 10 zeros.
- Wait for the email that lets you book, then log in and use the menu at the top left of the screen.
- Pick a test centre and a day with a free slot, and pay in full.
If you entered zeros, go back and add your real UCAS personal ID as soon as you get it. Without it, universities can’t link your result to your application. You can register yourself, or a teacher, parent or guardian can do it for you, but making sure it’s done is your responsibility. Schools that register students do it one at a time, with each student’s own email address.
LNAT registration with exam access arrangements
If you need extra time, a reader recorder, rest breaks or another arrangement, register online but don’t book. The process is different:
- Fill in LNAT’s Examination Access Requirements form and send it with your evidence, such as a short report from an educational psychologist or a specialist assessor for dyslexia, or a note from your doctor.
- Wait for the LNAT Consortium to confirm your arrangements. Extra time can take a few days; a reader recorder takes at least three weeks.
- Book by phone with a Pearson VUE agent, using the details in your confirmation email, and pay as usual.
No adjustments can be made at the centre unless they were approved in advance, and paper versions of the test aren’t available. If you book online first, that booking has to be cancelled and rebooked under the normal rescheduling terms. Universities are told about your arrangements and can take them into account.
Rescheduling or cancelling an LNAT booking
You can reschedule without charge up to 12 noon UK time on the second working day before your test, where working days are Monday to Friday, excluding English bank holidays. LNAT’s booking page gives a different limit, 48 hours before your start time. Go by whichever comes first for your slot. After that, you’d have to book and pay again.
The fee isn’t refunded if you decide not to sit, and the same terms apply if you paid with a voucher or bursary. You reschedule or cancel by logging in to your LNAT account.
