OET exam dates

The Occupational English Test (OET) on paper runs on fixed days, about twice a month: Saturdays outside the Americas and Fridays in the Americas. OET on Computer runs on more days, Monday to Saturday in the weeks OET listed for 2026. Every one of the OET exam dates on OET’s booking page shows its booking window, the professions on offer and the day results are published.

In the Americas the matching paper dates are Fridays: 20 November, 4 December and 18 December 2026. Booking closes 24 days before each date, which is a Wednesday for Saturday tests and a Tuesday for Friday tests. The 2026 paper dates opened for booking on 10 September 2025, and OET hadn’t listed 2027 dates by late October 2026.

Which professions can sit on each OET exam date?

The paper calendar alternates between two kinds of date:

  • Seven professions: Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Veterinary Science
  • Nursing and Medicine only

Every computer date in the calendar offers all 12 professions, so Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Podiatry and Speech Pathology candidates book a computer test, or OET@Home if they’re eligible for it.

OET’s paper test page lists the same seven professions, though one answer in its FAQ says both venue modes now cover all 12. Go by the professions shown on the date you book.

OET on Computer and OET@Home dates

Computer dates are set by venue, so search your own country and city on the booking page. You take Listening, Reading and Writing on the date you book, and Speaking on another day in the same test administration. Each computer date shows the latest day its results will be published.
