A patient with suspected active tuberculosis needs a portable chest radiograph. Which precautions should the radiographer follow?
20 practice questions in the style of the exam.
How to use these 20 questions
Questions 1 to 3 are patient care, 4 and 5 radiation physics and radiobiology, 6 to 8 radiation protection, 9 to 11 image acquisition, 12 and 13 equipment and quality assurance, and 14 to 20 procedures: head, spine and pelvis, then thorax and abdomen, then extremities. The topics appear in both the version used through February 28, 2027 and the one from March 1, 2027. All 20 are multiple choice with one best answer; the real exam also has some select-all, ordering, image and video questions.
Aim for 15 right, which is 75%. That’s our own target, not ARRT’s pass mark. ARRT’s 75 is a scaled score from 1 to 99, not 75% of questions right. If an answer doesn’t click, ask the tutor to explain it another way.
Where can you find more ARRT practice questions?
ARRT doesn’t sell practice tests or endorse any review product. For longer practice, other publishers sell them, such as ASRT’s SEAL tests, RadReview’s question bank and mock exam, and Clover Learning’s RadTechBootCamp. Our 20 don’t come from ARRT, so treat them as practice on the content, not a preview of real items.
