What a CISI qualification costs

You pay an exam fee and buy a workbook for each unit, plus a one-off £68 Qualification Registration Fee with your first qualification. The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) sets every CISI qualification cost in its price list for 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, and it reviews prices each year. Resits, extra study tools and any outside course cost more on top.

The 50% concession for UK candidates

CISI takes 50% off for UK residents on a low income, out of work or in full-time education. You qualify while you earn £22,200 or less. It applies to:

  • CISI exams and Professional Assessments, except the Chartered Banker’s Green Finance Certificate
  • the learning materials for those exams
  • new CISI membership

You send proof such as a P60, a recent payslip, a P45, a Universal Credit letter or confirmation of full-time study to concessionarydiscount@cisi.org. CISI applies the discount only after it has your evidence and can’t backdate it.

Prices outside the UK

International bookings include the workbook and, where there is one, Revision Express. Some exams also carry local invigilation fees. CISI’s offices in Dubai, Mumbai, Colombo and Manila give prices for the countries they cover.
