NBCOT exam study pack (StudyPack) and NBCOT’s other tools

The StudyPack is the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy’s (NBCOT’s) bundle of its own Aspire study tools, sold in separate versions for the Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) exams. The NBCOT exam study pack costs $85, and you keep access until you pass. If you don’t pass, NBCOT gives you a fresh StudyPack, so you can take the pre-test, practice tests and full practice exam again.

How NBCOT’s study pack works

You buy it from NBCOT and use it inside your MyNBCOT account; NBCOT calls it mobile-friendly. The pre-test, the practice tests and the full practice exam can each be used once. The other tools you can use as often as you like until you pass.

NBCOT says it doesn’t guarantee a better result for anyone using its tools, and it gives no refunds, returns or exchanges on them.

NBCOT’s Study Guide and its practice tests are also sold separately, and some practice tests aren’t in the StudyPack at all.

The flashcards are virtual decks you sort and filter by domain, and the StudyPack holds more cards than the separate set. Practice Sims are animated cases with virtual clients, seven for the OTR and four for the COTA, which you can replay as often as you like until you pass; they run on a PC or laptop, not a phone or tablet.

The feelReady Workshop is a day of test-taking strategies, practice questions with rationales and a study plan, either in person or online. NBCOT’s virtual workshops run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, and the workshop list on its site shows dates into 2027.
