How to get your Oklahoma driving record (MVR)

You can order it online, in person or by mail for $25, as of October 2026. Service Oklahoma calls it a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and state law limits it to the last three years. A certified copy of your Oklahoma driving record is $28, and if you're 65 or older and ordering your own, there's no fee.

How to order your Oklahoma MVR

  • Online, through Service Oklahoma's MVR portal, paying by credit or debit card.
  • In person at a Service Oklahoma location or a licensed operator, paying by cash, check, cashier's check, money order or card.
  • By mail, with form 303RM-M and a check, cashier's check or money order sent to Service Oklahoma, ATTN: Business Support Services/Records, PO Box 11415, Oklahoma City, OK 73136-0415. Don't mail cash.

Service Oklahoma doesn't take requests by email, but it can send the record back to you by encrypted email if you give an address on the form.

Who can order an Oklahoma driving record?

By law you can only get your own record. Some groups can get other people's records under state law and the federal Driver Privacy Protection Act, such as government agencies, courts, insurers and employers of CDL holders. Anyone else needs the driver's written consent on the form.

Service Oklahoma doesn't issue national driving records, and the form says it isn't affiliated with DocViews.

Checking your Oklahoma license status

If your license has been suspended and you don't know why, Service Oklahoma's suspensions page sends you to your MVR to find out, and to its online reinstatement service to start getting it back. The record shows your last three years of driving history.

What's on your record, and how points work

Traffic convictions from any Oklahoma court, out-of-state convictions and some collisions go on your record. Under the Mandatory Point System, 10 or more points within 5 years means a suspension. The point values in the manual:

ViolationPoints
Reckless driving4
Failing to stop or stay stopped for a school bus4
Speeding more than 25 mph over the limit3
Speeding2
Careless driving2
Following too closely2
Running a stop sign or traffic light2
Failing to yield the right-of-way2
Violating a license restriction2
Driving left of center, or the wrong way on a one-way street2
Operating a defective vehicle1
All other violations, except those that bring a suspension or revocation1

You lose 2 points for every 12 months with no pointable conviction, and all of them after three clean years. A Service Oklahoma-approved defensive driving course takes off 2 points, once every 24 months.

Other driving history records

Suspension notices, officer's affidavits and conviction records are requested on a different form, the Open Driver Records Request (303RM-D), by mail or in person at 6015 N Classen Blvd. in Oklahoma City. These cost $0.25 a page, and Service Oklahoma tells you the amount before you pay.
