Exam day

  • Arrive 30 minutes early.
  • Bring one original photo ID that's valid and current. Expired ID, ID with no expiry date and copies aren't accepted.
  • For Red Seal exams, everything you need is provided, including a calculator and code books when required. Personal calculators, code books and study materials aren't allowed.
  • Missing your exam, or cancelling within 30 days of it, means a rescheduling fee.

Results and the pass mark

The pass mark is 70%, and SkilledTradesBC rounds up, so 69.5% passes. Results arrive by email within 30 business days, and you can also see them in the Portal. The letter shows your mark for each topic area. The final mark isn't an average of those, because topics have different numbers of questions.
