College Board doesn’t publish a time of day for the release, so check during the day on the release date. Colleges get your scores later, once their score reports are sent, and each college then takes its own time to process them.

How to check your SAT scores

Can’t find them? You may have more than one College Board account, for example one a parent or counselor made. Try the Find Your Scores tool, which can look up a score from your test details and SAT registration number. If you took the SAT at school, your school can also print your score report.

  1. Go to studentscores.collegeboard.org and sign in with your College Board account. You need to be 13 or older.
  2. Your latest score is at the top. Choose See Additional Scores for earlier SAT and PSAT results.
  3. Open See Score Details for your percentiles, how you did against the benchmarks and your results in each content domain. You can download a PDF score report there too.

Canceling your scores

If you think the test went badly, you can cancel your score in My SAT until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, one week after your test date. Think it over first: once a score is canceled, it can’t be brought back, and no score reports go out for that date.

Finding old SAT scores

Once you’ve left high school and haven’t tested for a year, College Board archives your scores. You can still order them online from your College Board account, or by phone with your old name and address, your test date and a credit card. As of October 2026, an archived score report costs $35 plus the usual $15 report fee.

Scores from before 2005 can’t be retrieved at all. College Board doesn’t put an expiry date on SAT scores, but it warns that reports sent five or more years after the test may be weaker predictors of how you’ll do in college. Each college decides whether to accept older scores.
