How should you start your SAT study?
Start with a full-length practice test in Bluebook, before you open a single lesson. It’s free, adaptive like the real test, and My Practice shows your score and how you did in each content domain afterward. That tells you where your time should go.
From there, My Practice can build a set of questions from the official question bank aimed at your weak skills. Work through those, then take another full practice test near the end to see what’s changed.
Why plan for two test dates
College Board doesn’t promise a number, but it does say most students score higher the second time they take the SAT, and most colleges look at your best scores. So a plan that ends in a second sitting is worth having. College Board suggests the spring of junior year, then the fall of senior year.
