A fifth-grade teacher wants to check during a unit whether students understand a lesson, so she can adjust the next day’s plan. Which of these is a formative assessment?
20 practice questions in the style of the exam.
How should you use this FTCE Professional Education practice test?
Questions 1 to 4 are instructional design and planning and 5 to 7 learning environments. Questions 8 to 11 are instructional delivery, 12 to 14 assessment, 15 and 16 professional improvement, and 17 and 18 the Principles of Professional Conduct. Question 19 is teaching English language learners and 20 literacy across the curriculum.
Aim for 15 right, which is 75%. That’s our own target. The PEd is passed with a scaled score of 200, and because test forms are equated, the number of right answers behind it can vary a little. If an answer doesn’t click, ask the tutor to explain it another way.
Where can you find more FTCE practice questions?
The Professional Education test information guide has free sample questions written in the real test’s formats, and the FLDOE calls its guides the only materials it recommends. Work through those as well. Our 20 don’t come from the FLDOE or its test contractor.
