How it differs from the other literature CLEP exams

American Literature and English Literature both expect you to know authors and works. This one doesn’t. It tests comprehension, interpretation and analysis, all in multiple choice, with no essay. Poetry is the biggest single part, so practice reading poems slowly and asking what each line is doing.
