Praxis passing scores and requirements by state

There’s no national Praxis passing score. ETS says each state and licensing organization sets its own tests and qualifying scores, so Praxis passing scores by state differ, and the same score can pass in one state and fail in another. Nine states have their own page here, covering each state’s rules and where to find its scores.

Where do you find Praxis passing scores by state?

  1. Open ETS’s state requirements page and choose your state.
  2. Use ETS’s Passing Scores by State tool to see your state’s score for a test, or compare states.
  3. Confirm with your state’s licensing office, which has the final word. ETS says your score report uses the passing score in effect on your test date or report date.

States with their own page

Louisiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Colorado publish full score lists. For the others we give the rules and how to send your scores.
